West Fresno Ministerial Alliance

From the President
"Give me a place to stand and I will move the earth," said the ancient Greek mathematician and inventor Archimedes.  Though he spoke as a third century BC scientist, we can echo his words in 2012 AD America, because we have been given a Rock on which to stand, Jesus Christ.  And, following the example of the early apostles and the leading of the Holy Spirit, we continue to "turn the world upside down" (Acts 16:7) by preaching the Gospel and ministering in His name.

That's the mission of the West Fresno Ministerial Alliance, to continue to pierce the darkness of this world with the light of love and revelation.  Our initiatives, events and strategies are developed with these criteria in mind: justice, reconciliation, advocacy and solidarity.  We serve Almighty God whose throne sits on the pillars of righteousness and justice (Psalm 89:14).  We have received the ministry of reconciliation by the Spirit of Grace (2 Corinthians 5:18-19).  We advocate for the poor, oppressed, homeless, and underserved (Matthew 25), and we display unity of the faith (Ephesians 4:4-6), collaborating in fields white for the harvest. We serve the city to which we've been called, Fresno, with compassion and zeal, knowing our common heritage is not in mere flesh tone or zip code, but in Christ.

This is not a journey for the faint-hearted.  Our city and nation have many deeply rooted problems, and adversaries and apathy multiply daily, or so it seems.  But greater still is He who is within me, and you, I pray.  Join us in our mission.  Our unity invokes God's blessing (Psalm 133), our pursuits invoke His power.

Your servant and His,

Jymme Foote
